palm beach season

Galas at The Breakers, mahjong at golden hour, tables everyone’s been waiting for. Palm Beach season 2026-27 is here, and the women with the fullest calendars have already taken their hair off the list.

You can feel it before anyone says it.

The valet line at Royal Poinciana gets longer. The group chat that went quiet in July suddenly has opinions. Someone needs a fourth for mahjong on Thursday, someone else has an extra seat at a table in January, and your calendar, the one that looked so civilized in August, starts filling in by text message.

Season doesn’t arrive in Palm Beach. It descends.

And somewhere between the first save-the-date and the third gala invitation, every woman has the same thought: what am I doing with my hair for all of this?

The women who come to Parlour stopped asking that question a while ago.

Your blow dryer called. It knows it’s over.

When is Palm Beach season?

Palm Beach season runs from October through April, with the densest stretch of galas, luncheons and private dinners from January through March. The island’s population swells, and dozens of charity galas fill The Breakers and the private clubs. The rest of the calendar fills in by text message.

The Palm Beach social calendar, 2026-27

A few of the evenings already on the books:

October: The ballroom opened. The Habitat for Humanity Dream Builders’ Ball at The Breakers on October 9 marked Habitat’s 40th anniversary and opened the 2026-27 ballroom calendar. The first one always sets the tone. So does the first photo of you at it.

All season: Mahjong, everywhere. It moved from your grandmother’s card table to the most coveted seat in town. Golden-hour open play beside Pan’s Garden with the Preservation Foundation and Palm Beach Mahjong. Mahjong and cocktails on Clematis at Shanghai’d for the West Palm Beach Library Foundation’s supporters. Four women, a table, and a good two hours of sitting directly across from each other in excellent lighting. Your hair will be discussed. Ideally, not out loud.

January: The Breakers, repeatedly. The International Red Cross Ball, the traditional heart of the season, with its ambassadors and receiving line. Ballet Palm Beach’s Gala by the Sea on January 28. And Art Palm Beach from January 27 to 31 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, opening with its red-carpet Opening Night Premiere. Which means three of your most photographed evenings may land in the same week.

February: Still going. The AFMDA Palm Beach Gala at The Breakers on February 28, and a stretch of luncheons, trunk shows and dinners that will never appear on any official calendar but will absolutely appear on yours.

Every night in between: The new tables. Tutto Mare on the Intracoastal at the Royal Poinciana Plaza. Coco’s inside the newly renovated Vineta. The Polo Room on Sunrise. Del Mar in the NORA District. Kyma’s coastal Greek on Olive. Emelina, chef-driven Cuban, downtown. Eataly’s first full season at CityPlace. The reservation you’ve been trying to get since summer, the one that opens up with forty minutes’ notice.

That last one is the real test.

Nothing here is accidental. Including the part where you forget to think about it.

Why Palm Beach season is different for your hair

What actually changes for my hair during Palm Beach season?

Volume. Not the hair. The calendar. In summer, a blowout has to last through a dinner or two. In season, it has to last through a luncheon, a mahjong afternoon, a gala and the brunch after the gala, often inside the same seventy-two hours. Add the humidity that never fully leaves South Florida, and the at-home blowout stops being a routine and starts being a second job.

Why not just book a blowout before each event?

She could. Plenty of women do, and spend season managing appointments around invitations instead of the other way around. Parlour Priority turns that into a rhythm. One Signature Restorative Blowdry a month, already on the books, built with Bioprogramming so the result lasts for days rather than one evening. She plans it around the week that matters most, and the rest of the week benefits.

What is the Signature Restorative Blowdry?

It’s a blowout performed with Lumielina Bioprogramming tools, which smooth the hair at the keratin level while it dries. Less frizz, more movement, and results that last for days rather than hours. One hour in. Set for the week.

When your hair is finally handled, everything after it feels different.

The woman who’s already ready

You’ll see her this season. At the Red Cross Ball, at the mahjong table beside Pan’s Garden, at the corner banquette at Tutto Mare.

She arrives exactly on time. She says yes to the last-minute dinner without checking anything first. When someone asks who does her hair, she smiles and changes the subject. Not to be coy, but because she genuinely hasn’t thought about it since the last appointment.

That’s the whole point. Season is for the people, the evenings, the conversations you’ll still be telling in May. Not for standing in front of a mirror at 6:15 negotiating with a round brush.

Priority members don’t prepare for season. They’re simply in it.

How Parlour Priority membership works

  • $99 per month: one Parlour Signature Restorative Blowdry each month, a $250+ value
  • Your blowdry is available in any month you book and complete another Parlour service within the same billing cycle
  • Six-month minimum, which, conveniently, is almost exactly the length of season
  • Insider early access to new services and openings
  • VIP event invitations
  • 5% off retail and up to 25% off through the Parlour partner portfolio

For the calendar that won’t stop

Some women look at January and know one blowdry a month won’t cover it. Kindly, we agree.

For them, there’s Parlour Elite. More sessions, same ritual, built for the busiest stretch of the year. It isn’t listed on a menu. Ask Deborah. She’ll know if it’s you.

Palm Beach season questions

What are the biggest galas of the 2026-27 Palm Beach season?

Among the evenings on the 2026-27 calendar: the Habitat for Humanity Dream Builders’ Ball at The Breakers on October 9, the International Red Cross Ball at The Breakers in January, Ballet Palm Beach’s Gala by the Sea on January 28, the Art Palm Beach Opening Night Premiere during the fair’s January 27 to 31 run at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, and the AFMDA Palm Beach Gala at The Breakers on February 28.

How long will a blowout last through a weekend of events?

A Bioprogramming blowout at Parlour typically lasts for days rather than hours, even in South Florida humidity. Most members find they’re set for the week. How long yours lasts depends on your hair, your routine, and how many of those evenings end poolside.

When should I book my blowdry around a gala?

Close to the evening that matters most. Because results last for days, a well-timed appointment can carry you from the gala through the luncheon after it.

What is Parlour Priority?

Parlour Priority is the $99 monthly blowout membership at Parlour FL, 500 Palm Street in West Palm Beach’s Flamingo Park District. Members receive one Signature Restorative Blowdry, a $250+ service, in any month they book and complete another Parlour service. The minimum commitment is six months.

Is there a commitment?

Yes. Priority membership has a six-month minimum. Start in October and it runs through March, which is almost exactly the length of season.
